However, the store-bought lollies she indulged in were laden with sugar, artificial flavors, and coloring, which provided relief for her morning sickness but led to an unexpected diagnosis. Following her glucose test, Yasmin's gynecologist identified her as pre-diabetic, prompting the necessity to cut down on sugar in her diet.

Reluctant to part ways with her beloved sweet treats, Yasmin devised an alternative plan: she began freezing her own concoctions using lime and various fruit juices. This homemade approach offered a healthier substitute for her cravings. Her innovative homemade versions not only satisfied her desire but also sparked a creative idea that blossomed into what is now known as Popsmalaya Ice Bars.
